Week 8 Progress

Image
I am happy with my progress so far. I did get behind an missed a few assignments. So, I do need to work on my weekly routine. The assignment I like the most are the reading notes. Taking notes helps me brainstorm and get a good feel for what I want to write about. I am not doing as much extra credit as I should be. I don't have a lot of time but that really isn't an excuse. My website building has gone okay. I need to work on it to get it where I will be happy with it.  Looking forward, I want to get some extra credit work in. I also want to try and get ahead of my assignments. Image Source :  borntoworkout

Week 8, Comments and Feedback

Image
I think the quality of the feedback I have received from other students has been great. At first, I was worried because I know I am not the best writer and thought people were going to tell me how horrible my writing is. However, things have been great. The feedback I have been receiving is constructive and helpful. The comments I find most useful are the ones regarding my grammar. Sometimes I get the tenses mixed up, now I know that is something I need to pay attention to.  The outgoing feedback is okay, I think. I need to work on giving more detailed reviews. I have read other reviews and they are very detailed, positive and helpful. This is something I need to work on. Moving forward, I want to provide more details in the comments I make on student's stories. I think my introduction is fine and don't want to make any changes to it. Week 8, Reading and Writing

Image
Favorite image from my first story. Image Source :  scene360art Overall, I think the reading and writing assignments are going well. I have not had any creative writing courses in years, and I was worried at the beginning. I have found that it is getting easier for me to write each week. Taking reading notes, and giving myself time to enjoy writing has been extremely helpful.  I think my blog and website could use a few more tweaks before I am satisfied with it. I need to spend some time figuring things out. This is the first time I have created a blog and a website, so, I was a little intimidated. My biggest accomplishment in my writing is just letting it flow. When I let go and don't worry myself, my stories are easier for me to write.  I picked the image above because it is from my first and favorite story. It is from my retelling of Androcles and the Lion. I love elephants, and this image goes with the bond between the characters in the story.  I look forward to improving my
